Privatisation to Bring BGN160MN in 2013

Although the state privatization showcase has been almost empty now there are plans for collecting 166.3 million levs from privatisation this year. They will come from the eventual sale of ADIS, BDZ-Freight, Military Press, VMZ and the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.

With paramount importance, the Agency Privatization has identified the sale of 100% of the capital of BDZ-Freight and VMZ. In the report it is stated that it is a means to solve serious problems and therefore can not be delayed.

Of course, the state will be working on the privatization of Military Press Ltd., VMT Orbita AD, Audiovideo Orpheus EAD, and the state’s participation in the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia and Central Depository AD. Among the forthcoming privatization of state-owned companies is Kintex EAD, which is important for the national security. For this purpose it is first necessary to develop a strategy to ensure the preservation of the public interest.

The list for the sale of minority stakes includes Free Zone – Plovdiv, the Transit Trade Zone of Varna, the Free Trade Zone – Burgas, Terem and some others.

Totally for privatization have been slated 18 companies with more than 50 percent state participation in the capital and nine lots representing shares or stakes of such companies, 72 minority stakes and 67 units of state-private property.
