Fuels Set To Cheapen

Fuel prices will continue to decline in the medium term, said last week the CEO of OMV – Bulgaria Petar Velichkov. He did not put a figure on the table, as it all depends on the value of oil on international markets.

"Fluctuations in crude oil prices do not lead to such rapid changes in fuel prices. However, it is a complex factor with many ingredients, so that the change of one component, be it the most important, may be reflected immediately. Crude forms below 50% of the price of petrol and diesel, and one should do not forget that there are taxes and excise duties," said Velichkov.
Currently the most sought after gasoline A-95 is sold for about 2.20 levs per litre at petrol stations, while most of this year its price has been about 2.50 lev. According to Velichkov, now the market regulates everything and if someone finds cheaper fuels and imports them, all other market participants will react.

Otherwise OMV presented new generation of winter fuel with improved characteristics – MaxxMotion Diesel. According to the product development and innovation manager Nikolay Schubert it is produced in refineries of the Austrian company in Romania and Austria, using special basic fuel of about 6% bio-component and concentrate supplements. The price is by about 15 cents higher than for standard diesel, but the advantages for motor vehicle were many, he said.
