Businessman Vasil Bozhkov posted on Facebook statements of his personal account which showed he withdrew huge amounts of cash. It is clear from his post that this is money for the so-called "comfort" levy in the amount of 20% of the "National Lottery" profits.
"In February this year, Vladi Goranov ordered a tax audit of my company. It will find that after paying all taxes, I withdrew huge sums from my personal account. All my other expenses were paid by bank transfer. This money is not available in cash. Where is it? ”Bozhkov asks.
The statements show that he withdrew a total of about BGN 11.8 million:
– January 2018 – BGN 2,673,300.
– May 2018 – BGN 1,063,333.
– September 2019 – BGN 600,000.
– October 2019 – BGN 3,849,500.
– November 2019 – BGN 3,607,850.
In another post, Vasil Bozhkov explains plainly yesterday's comic. The History of Racketeering tells some facts about changes in gambling laws that directly benefit his companies. In 2013, the National Lottery paid a 10% tax.
In 2014, the then BSP MP Georgi Kadiev submitted a draft for a taxation change in the lottery games and a 15% turnover tax.
According to Bozhkov, however, the Prime Minister Boyko Borissov made him a counter-offer: "I will fix things now. You will HELP afterwards." And the chairwoman of the budget committee in the parliament and GERB MP Menda Stoyanova explained: "We will replace only one point of the amendment. The others should not understand." Then GERB voted against Kadiev's amendment and it went to waste. And GERB submits and accepts a new proposal with the "petty change" – paying a 20% fee on the commissions for all gambling games. Then the "briefing" came – Borisov told Bozhkov: "Go to Vladi Goranov. He will tell you what to do." According to Bozhkov, Goranov said: "20% of the profit is for us. Otherwise we’ll repeal the law."
The businessman from Dubai called this the "support" fee. The scheme ends with "Simple Math" – BGN 500 million in fees deposited to the state, 20% for assistance, paid in cash to specific individuals.
