Following an emergency address last night of the chairman of the national operations headquarters to combat the coronavirus epidemic gen. Ventsislav Mutafchiiski, calling for tightening of the emergency measures, President Radev's wife Desislava Radeva commented on the events in a Facebook post.
On her page, she reprimanded the governing bodies for leaving a number of important questions unanswered, and cited 5 of them:
1. How much did the state spend to deal with the problem, incl. business support? Which in the near future will not be able to function in full blood. And to pay salaries, taxes, insurance. (addressing Minister Goranov and the Prime Minister)
2. Will there be any bank, NII, NRA vacations while the state of emergency is in progress (not to miss fast loans)? Because many people have loans – mortgage, business, consumer, and the economy will collapse not only nationally but also globally. (addressing Minister Goranov and the PM again)
3. What shall we do with elderly people whose children are abroad? Who helps them, buys for them and looks after them? (to Minister Sacheva and the Prime Minister)
4. Is there a (national) telephone number people with suspected infection can call and receive help and guidance? (to Minister Ananiev and the Prime Minister)
5. This question is one of the most important – how is the life and health of people on the front line, i.e. the health workers, guaranteed – (adequate equipment and facilities)? Without them, the number of hospital beds is irrelevant. I will not raise a question about their salaries. (again to Minister Ananiev and Prime Minister)
