Avalanche of Orders Flows to President’s Office

President Rosen Plevneliev

Great demand has arisen within the administration of President Rosen Plevneliev. Only in the last few days to meet their different needs, it has released a whole bunch of public calls to businesses. In the case, the conventional open procurement procedures have been avoided, due to short delivery times and relatively low values. However, this enables the bureaucrats at Dondoukov 2 Str. to hide the names of the companies and not announce specific amounts in their contracts. But since the law allows it, one should not be talking anymore.

The main rush of the Presidency until 27 May is to find a company that will supply toilet paper, handkerchiefs, hand towels and serviettes. For this purpose 12 thousand levs have been set aside, assuming that the money should be enough for a whole year. In other words, only paper hygiene products for Rosen Plevneliev and his team come to about 50 levs per day, although they are bought on a wholesale basis. Interestingly, the provider of these items will be determined mainly by unit prices for toilet paper, as it will have a weight of 65.1% in the final grade. The next place – by 20.5% weight in the final assessment is given to hand towels.

Once it get its toiletries, the Presidency will take care of the supply of cleaning products for next year. A total of 9 thousand levs will go for a total of 25 different items – mops, gloves, bags, fragrances, soaps … The cost of each of them will be involved in the final sum, the base of which will determine the winner. However, this enables companies to offer a relatively higher price for liquid soap such as its weight is negligible – 0.1%. In other words, the value of one of the most commonly used components appears irrelevant. At the same time, with a slight reduction in the cost of degreasing agents one can gain serious advantage, because his weight was set as high as 7.35% in the overall assessment, even though it is used less often than soap.

The administration st Dondoukov 2 opens also new public calls for continued delivery of stationery. The contract with the selected contractor in this case will be for one year, and the estimated budget is 30 thousand levs. The money will be spent primarily for copy paper A4, and the volume of it shows that the use of electronic services in the Presidency is still extremely low. An additional 30 thousand levs will be spent for printer toners which on top of that are over 20 different ones. For its delivery a separate public call has been opened, the deadline for receipt of it expires on May 27.
