Hot summer for the construction industry has been prepared by Agency Road Infrastructure. The office of Stephen Chaikov surprisingly announced dozens of tenders at once for the realization of a number of key sites and companies in the sector and if anybody wants to take part in them, they will have this and next month time to apply to the administrative departments and complete the documents for participation.
The biggest project is the reconstruction and expansion of the main road from Mesdra to Botevgrad. For the design and construction of it are envisaged a quarter of a billion lev, which is expected to come from the new edition of the Operational Programme Transport. That section starts at the 161 kilometre, covering the access road and junctions to Mesdra, Darmantsi, Rebarkovo, Lyuti Dol, Novachene, Skravena and Botevgrad and reaches up to kilometre 194. The facility is divided in two parts, the first is 13 km long and the estimated value is 124,390.788 levs. For the remaining 20 km the allocated money is the least – 122 million levs, as the terrain is easier. Both sections, however, have be completed within 750 days.
Further north along the road E-79 will also be repairs. Section of Vidin to the coast of the Danume river and the border with Serbia will be completely renovated with about five million levs.
Another major initiative, which seeks contractors is the rehabilitation of the Plovdiv – Asenovgrad and the construction of the junction at Gorni Voden. The sum for the purpose is 19.2 million levs provided under the Transit Roads – V. The road is extremely busy, but since its founding in 1982 it has not been completed in full – only the right lane with a width of 10 metres was built at the flooring project dimensions of 23 meters. Now – almost 33 years later, this finally will happen. The construction supervision of the project will take an additional 1 million lev.
Transit Roads – V will also finance the repair of roads Samokov-Ichtiman Zhivkovo-Verinsko. It is estimated that it will cost about 24 million euros.
The contract for the renovation of various road sections between Yambol and Sredets will have to do with the estimated amount of 36 million ;evs. Separately, other 20.5 million levs from the state budget are allocated to the 35 km stretch from the P{etolachkata to the old road Yambol-Burgas.
With a sum of over 14 million levs will be completed the rehabilitation of the road to Rila Monastery. It started already back in 2001, but due to lack of funding ended on the 11th kilometre. Now the rest nearly 20 kilometres are planned to be completed within 120 days, as the project includes the strengthening, the the demolitions, laying of sewerage system and others.
Around 9.5 million levs will go to the reconstruction of the Momchilgrad-Krumovgrad. The same will be the cost of the renovation of the road from Dragichevo in Rudartsi to Kladnitsa. For the eight kilometers from the third class road Vetrino – Kaloyan – Vekilski a sum of 13.5 million levs has been pledged. Over 24 million levs have been provided for areas between villages of Veliko Tarnovo region.
